THE SMART PILLS - At The Disconnection, Topeka, KS - June 1979 

"Tuff Enough" performed by the Smart Pills in June 1979 at the Disconnection in Topeka, KS.  This was the last show performed by the Smart Pills in Kansas.  An unknown college student who had heard of the Smart Pills used an 8mm camera to film portions of the show.  There was no VHS in common use in 1979.
 

"Blackboard Boredom" performed by the Smart Pills in June 1979 at the Disconnection in Topeka, KS.   The last show in Kansas captured by chance by a college student on an 8mm camera.
 

"The Girl Can't Help It" by Little Richard performed by the Smart Pills in June 1979 at the Disconnection in Topeka, KS.  The last show the Smart Pills performed in Kansas before they moved to Hollywood, CA in June 1979.  The Smart Pills went on to play throughout the Los Angeles area and become a part of the early punk rock scene in Los Angeles.

THE SMART PILLS - HONG KONG CAFE - Los Angeles (Chinatown) - September 1979

"Yankee Doodle Boy" performed by the Smart Pills in September 1979 at the Hong Kong Café in Los Angeles, CA (Chinatown).  One of the earliest Smart Pills songs written in 1978 while the Smart Pills still lived in New York.  The Smart Pills are noticed by Casablanca Records at this show.
